Upcoming Competitions
As you may be aware, West London Open 2022 and Weston-super-Mare Open 2022 had registration times that took only a couple of minutes to fill and many people have ended up on extremely long waiting lists. We really had no idea how much cubing has exploded in popularity over the pandemic. The most important thing for the UKCA Team is that everyone who wants to compete, is able to compete.
In the near future, we will be holding "Series" competitions: multiple competitions at the same venue on different days, of which you may only compete at one. This would mean that a competition which normally has a competitor limit of 100, might be able to hold up to 400 unique competitors, so that everyone who wants to compete will be able to. Depending on the popularity of cubing in the UK going forward, we will likely bring back competitions as you remember them from before the pandemic. However, this will depend on the number of regular competitors, as well as how many competitions we are able to hold.
We're excited to see how this year in cubing progresses for us, and we hope to see each and every one of you at a competition soon!
