Increase to Registration Fees

Hi all,

As we move into the end of 2022, we wanted to let you know that, unfortunately, we will be raising the standard registration fees for UKCA Competitions from £25 to £30 for competitions in 2023. This is due to a 3x increase in the percentage of your registration fees we have to pay the WCA under their Dues system as of this month.

Any competitions currently announced will not have their registration fees changed; we are not asking you to pay extra for any competitions you are currently registered for.

The WCA will be using the extra revenue from this Dues increase to fund the growth of the WCA, and to start working on projects that are currently in the planning stages which you will certainly hear more about in the near future. For the short term, funding will be going towards improvements to WCA Software. The UKCA remains as an organisation ran on a non-profit basis with all Delegate and non-Delegate staff working as volunteers, and any profit we do make from any competition is invested straight back into more equipment, hiring more venues and generally strengthening the UK Cubing Community.
