COVID-19 Situation Update (2020-07-30)

Hey Everyone,

Despite the situation in the UK still improving, the UKCA (with backing from the WCA Board), have decided it will not be appropriate to host UK competitions in the upcoming months. Due the nature of competitions, and the high concentration of people we would have in venues, the UKCA has decided it would be irresponsible and too risky.

The UKCA changes are as follows:

Bristol Open 2020 is CANCELLED.

Bristol Open 2020, we had thoughts to modify to a Blindfolded speciality competition, but we decided against it as we felt it was too soon and the required precautions that would be needed would not make the experience worthwhile. We want to get back to hosting regular competitions again soon, but only once the situation has calmed down.
